Coyote Petroleum is an exploration company in the business of developing oil and gas assets in the lower 48 of the United States.  Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Coyote, through its sister and other related companies, has been involved in the exploration of oil and gas hydrocarbons for over fifty years and owns royalty and working interests in hundreds of wells throughout the United States. 

Coyote began its Barnett Shale operations in 2006.  It continues to lease in the Barnett Shale, taking advantage of its ownership of thousands of mineral acres in the Barnett and from knowledge acquired through its relationships with the largest operators in the play.
